The City of Orlando has announced two pretty cool looking arts summer camps. The price on these camps, as with all camps run by the city is staggering low. It offers low income and middle class families some relief during the summer when the cost of childcare can be very debilitating. Keep up the good work City!

Annual Central Florida Greek Festival

Even if you’re not Greek, you may love Greek food, and if you do, this is the place to go. When I attended the Greek Festival, there was so much food, I didn’t know what I wanted to try first.

Its even more fun if you bring a friend and you don’t have to be a member of the local church, Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox, or know anyone there, in order to enjoy all the festivities.

Broadway Across America

Orlando will soon be welcoming Broadway Across America for the 2007-2008 season.

Now is the time to become a season ticket holder. Some of the shows that can be seen are Annie, My Fair Lady, Drowsy Chaperone, Spamalot and Wicked.

A Delightful Experience

La Nouba, a Cirque du Soleil creation promises to deliver an outstanding performance. It is entertainment at its finest, including a combination of dance, ballet and acting.

Shows can be seen on Tuesdays through Saturdays at either 6pm or 9pm. Attendees are asked to arrive one hour prior to the show beginning. There is a 15 pre-show and the main event last 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The Wizard Of Oz

An old time favorite of adults and children alike will be performed at Pinocchio’s Marionetter Theatre through Septemeber 9, 2007.

Below are the days and times that you can catch it:

Sundays: 11 a.m. 2 p.m. 5 p.m.
Tuesdays: 10 a.m.
Wednesdays: 10 a.m.
Thursdays: 10 a.m. 11:15 a.m.
Fridays: 10 a.m. 11:15 a.m. 7 p.m.
Saturdays: 11 a.m. 2 p.m. 5 p.m.

$9 for adults, $8 for seniors and children ages 2-12; children 1 and under are free

The theatre, once located in Downtown Orlando has moved and is now located at 451 East Altamonte Drive , Suite 1389 (next to Sears) at the Altamonte Mall in Altamonte Springs.
